1. Who We Are
Furface Studio is an AI-powered custom pet portrait service operated by an Australian sole trader. We create personalised digital artwork and physical products featuring your pet. Our contact email is hello@furfacestudio.com (update to confirmed address before launch).
2. What Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Email address — collected when you unlock additional free portraits or create an account. Used to save your gallery and send you relevant communications.
- Pet photos — uploaded by you to generate your portrait. These are used solely for the purpose of AI image generation and are automatically deleted from our servers immediately after your portrait is created.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or banking details.
- Shipping address — collected at checkout for physical product orders. Used only to fulfil your order.
- IP address — used to enforce fair usage limits on free portrait generation. Not linked to your identity.
- Order history — retained to process your order, handle any issues, and provide customer support.
3. Your Pet Photos — Special Notice
We take the handling of your pet photos seriously. Here is exactly what happens:
- Your photo is uploaded securely to our private storage.
- It is passed to our AI image generation system to create your portrait.
- It is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers once generation is complete — typically within 60 seconds.
- Your photo is never used to train AI models, shared with third parties, or retained for any purpose beyond generating your portrait.
Your generated portraits (with watermark) are stored for up to 60 days to allow you to return and purchase. After 60 days, they are permanently deleted.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To generate your pet portrait
- To process and fulfil your order
- To send you order confirmation and shipping notifications
- To save your portrait gallery so you can return and purchase later
- To send you marketing emails, only if you have explicitly opted in
- To improve our service and resolve technical issues
5. Marketing Emails
We will only send you marketing emails if you have ticked the marketing consent checkbox when entering your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect your ability to receive order-related emails for purchases you have made.
6. Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Plausible collects no personal data, uses no cookies, and sends nothing to Google or any advertising network. It is fully GDPR compliant without requiring a cookie consent banner.
7. Third Parties We Work With
- Stripe — payment processing. Your payment information is handled directly by Stripe under their privacy policy.
- Printful — print-on-demand fulfilment. Your name and shipping address are shared with Printful only to produce and deliver your physical order.
- Resend — email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend to send you transactional and (where consented) marketing emails.
- Cloudflare R2 — secure file storage for generated portrait images.
- Supabase — database infrastructure for storing order and subscriber records.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party under any circumstances.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw marketing consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority

9. Data Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. Pet photos are stored in a private, access-controlled storage bucket and deleted immediately after portrait generation.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of our service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
